As expected, we have CLOSED the off-road trails until further notice. The light rain and warmer temperatures have melted most of the snow and turned some areas into a soupy mess. With above freezing temperatures for much of the day, we are experiencing a significant thaw, soften trail conditions, allowing moisture to sit at the top. Thus any foot or bike traffic will tear up the surface and cause rutting.
We will continue to monitor conditions, but please know that with daytime temperatures predicted above freezing and some nights below freezing, coupled with the potential for rain midweek, we may not be able to open until Christmas weekend when temperatures are expected to stay below freezing. As always, use the off-road trails only when they are dry or frozen.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, please spread the word.
